Valentine's Day Chocolate Covered Crackers

If you’ve ever had Christmas Crack(ers) then you’ll love these! They're buttery, sweet, crunchy.  And best of all, they're easy to make-up ahead of time.

Here's what you'll need:

1 sleeve of salted Saltines

1 stick of melted butter

1 1/2 brown sugar

1 bag of Wilton pink wafer melts

4 oz. container of Valentine-themed sprinkles

Line a heavy cookie sheet with parchment paper & then grease with unsalted butter.

In a large saucepan, melt the stick of butter.  Once it’s completely melted add in a teaspoon of vanilla & dark brown sugar.

Stir and combine until melted.  Drizzle all over the Saltines.

While the butter & brown sugar mixture is still hot, dump the entire bag of melts on top.  Quickly spread them out with a rubber spatula.  The heat from the melted butter & sugar will begin to melt the pink wafers.  You want that.

Now gently & evenly spread the melted pink candy wafers to cover all of the crackers.  Then sprinkle with Valentine’s sprinkles.  Let cool in the refrigerator for 2 hours, until hardened.

Remove from the refrigerator once hardened.  Break the cracker block first by breaking it in half.

Next, take each of those halves and break them in two.  Continue breaking each piece into two pieces until you have pieces that are just a bit bigger than the size of one Saltine.

Let me warn you, if you plan on sharing this with anyone, do not, I repeat DO NOT take even one bite of it.

No quality assurance needed here.  Not if you hope to have any left to give.  (Don’t ask me how I know 🤦🏽‍♀️ 😂 😆).

Till next time,
